BEHIND THE SCENES

The piece was originally part of Maria's end of second year collection "Grusel" at the Scandinavian Academy of Fashion Design in Copenhagen. The collection is inspired by old portraits and true crime telling in the 19th century's scandinavia.

The collection is fitted to the female body and draws deliberately from the 19th century's undergarments, but with a twist of modern day's silhouettes.

The original garment was treated with heat and fire to make an aged and destroyed look. Also, the accesories of the dress are handmade replicas of Maria's teeth.
