BEHIND THE SCENES

The piece was originally part of Maria's end of year collection "Room 237" at the Scandinavian Academy of Fashion Design in Copenhagen. The collection is inspired by the film “The Shining” by Stanley Kubrick and reflects its dark and eerie atmosphere.

The original garment created by Maria had a flower print that symbolises the wallpaper of the hallway in the hotel, where the two little innocent girls were murdered, and therefore the colors of black and white.​

The dress also represents the innocence of a child at the front, where the back symbolises the darker and sexier contraposition of adulthood.
